Stacey is an artist and designer based in Paris, France. Central to her work is the construction of identity through objects, and her practice is born from the consideration of individuals in contexts real, fictional and inbetween. Getting dressed is a social practice; clothing is a tool for communication between people, the world, and the many versions of oneself.

Stacey has designed performances at the Guggenheim Museum (NY), the Whitney Museum, the Johnson Glass House and the Villa Savoye, amongst other cultural institutions across the US and Western Europe. She’s recently worked with A24 and Amazon TV, and her feature film work has premiered at the Berlinale Film Festival, SXSW and the Sundance Film Festival, multiple times over. She graduated magna cum laude with a BA from Barnard College, Columbia University concentrating in Art History. She subsequently earned a Masters of Design Studies (MDes) with distinction from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. She is a member of Phi Betta Kappa, and IATSE USA 829. She builds clothing and objects working both by machine and by hand.
